At GLORY Basketball, we believe every athlete has the potential to excel and grow both on and off the court. Led by Coach Greg, Head Coach of Oxford University Men’s Basketball, and Coach Austin, Assistant Coach at Western University, our clinics are designed to inspire a love for the game while building essential basketball and life skills. Whether you’re a beginner discovering the game or an advanced player refining your craft, we meet athletes where they are and help them reach their goals. Our program emphasizes fundamentals—ball handling, shooting, footwork, passing, defense, and basketball IQ—taught through engaging, game-based learning. Players are grouped by skill level, ensuring tailored instruction that challenges and supports their growth. 1. Are the Clinics Co-Ed

-Many of our clinics are Co-Ed, older grades and others may be gender specific, please read each clinics information carefully.

2.Who are the coaches?

-Our clinics are led by Coach Greg Robertson, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Oxford University, and Coach Austin Robertson, Assistant Coach at Western University. Together, they bring years of experience coaching athletes of all levels, from beginners to elite players. We are also proud to have many of our past players return to help coach. A few are with us consistently, while others join in when their university or work schedules allow. These former players are passionate about giving back and passing on their knowledge and love for the game to the next generation. Their dedication is a testament to the strong, supportive community we've built at GLORY basketball

3. What age and skill levels do you work with?

-We welcome athletes of all ages and skill levels, from beginners just starting out to advanced players looking to refine their skills and get to the next level.

4. How are players grouped?

-Players are grouped based on their skill level to ensure they receive appropriate instruction and challenges suited to their abilities.

5. What skills will my child learn?

-Our clinics focus on fundamental skills such as ball handling, shooting techniques, footwork, passing, defense, and basketball IQ. We also emphasize teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

6. How are the clinics structured?

-Each session includes a combination of warm-ups, skill-building drills, and fun, game-based activities designed to reinforce learning and keep players engaged.

7. How many players are in each group?

-We maintain a low coach-to-player ratio to ensure each athlete receives personalized instruction and feedback.

8.What should my child bring?

-Players should bring appropriate athletic attire, basketball shoes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude ready to learn and have fun.

9. How do you handle different skill levels?

-We assess each player’s abilities and tailor our instruction to meet them where they are, helping them progress at their own pace.

10. Is there a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship?

-Absolutely! We believe basketball is not just about skills but also about building character. We teach teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship in every session.

11. What safety measures are in place?

-We prioritize the safety of our athletes by providing a structured environment, maintaining appropriate coach-to-player ratios, and ensuring all drills and activities are age-appropriate and safe. 12. Can parents observe the sessions?

-Absolutely, we welcome parents to stay and watch but we also understand families are busy and you can feel free to drop off your players and pick them up when they are done. while you do your errands or go relax.

12. What if my child has special needs or accommodations?

-We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and will do our best to accommodate players with special needs. Please contact us in advance to discuss your child’s specific requirements.

13. How can I register and what is the refund policy?

-Registration is done online, and spaces are limited.

-Our refund policy is as follows: No refunds will be offered once the clinic has started. If there is a major change (A different city or more than 10km from original gym) in the clinic location prior to the start of the clinic, we will inform participants and you will have 24 hours to request a refund. Sometimes clinics are cancelled due to last minute use by school (so they cancel our gyms) or inclement weather. Please note these clinics will not be made up.
